Partial Year Service
Indemnity for partial years is calculated proportionally using Instant & Law-Based Tool.
Example 1: Resignation After 6 Years of Service
- Input:
- Basic Salary: KD 400
- Years of Service: 6 years
- Reason for Leaving: Resignation after 5 years
- Calculation:
- (½ month × 5 years) + (1 month × 1 year) = 3.5 months’ salary
- Total Indemnity: 3.5 × 400 = KD 1,400
Example 2: Termination After 8 Years of Service
- Input:
- Basic Salary: KD 500
- Years of Service: 8 years
- Reason for Leaving: Terminated
- Calculation:
- (½ month × 5 years) + (1 month × 3 years) = 5.5 months’ salary
- Total Indemnity: 5.5 × 500 = KD 2,750
