How is End of Service Calculated in Saudi Arabia?

The EOS benefit depends on three factors:

Basic Salary (SAR): monthly salary allowances.

The General Formula

For the first 5 years of service:
- Half a month’s salary per year of service.
After 5 years of service:
One full month’s salary per year for the remaining years.

First 5 years = (10,000 ÷ 2) × 5 = 25,000 SAR
Next 2 years = (10,000 × 2) = 20,000 SAR
Total EOS = 45,000 SAR

Limited vs Unlimited Contracts

There are two types of contracts; the details are given below:

Limited Contract

Employee is entitled to full EOS if the contract ends or the employer terminates.

Unlimited Contract

EOS entitlement depends heavily on years of service and resignation rules.
If resigning before 2 years, the employee usually EOS.
Between 2–5 years, only one-third is given.
