How the CRS Calculator Works
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is a point system adopted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for GCC Coutries sorting of candidates in the Express Entry pool. Every candidate is given a mark out of 1,200 points, depending on some major categories.
Here’s how CRS points are distributed:
- Core Human Capital Factors – Age, education, language proficiency and work experience.
- Spouse or Common-Law Partner Factors – In the event of this, points are divided between the main applicant and partner.
- Skill Transferability Factors – The points acquired through combinations such as education + work experience and language + foreign experience.
- Additional Points – Provincial nominations points, Canadian study, valid job offer, French language skills, or Canadian family in Canada.
